STARGAZERS: Free Drama and Games workshops

Free Children’s Craft Workshops
 
Devised and run each year by Paul Smith, the children’s craft workshop is a real highlight for many of our younger visitors and is always extremely popular.
 
Venue: Children’s Craft Workshop Tent, Courtyard. Saturday. 11.00 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.
 
 
 Win recording session with Rockhopper
 
The Rockhopper is a professional quality recording studio in a vintage airstream caravan. A unique combination of vintage and modern, the retro lines of this 45 year old slice of Americana have been augmented with state of the art equipment to give a unique acoustic profile. All fitted out with a superb collection of guitars, basses, keyboards and a fine studio drumkit. Come along and make great music. When not at Togfest, the Rockhopper is designed to come to you! 
 
Book in, pay a donation to charity and reserve your slot on Friday or Saturday to record a track. Later, your track will be professionally mixed for you. All participants will be entered into a competition and the winner will be awarded some studio time at a later date. More details to follow. JONNY COPE leads Free workshops in Didge & Throat Singing

Jonny Cope is a renowned teacher and performer of didgeridoo who also plays and teaches various styles of Mongolian / Tuvan 'Khoomei' throat or overtone singing, chant, mantras, the use of jews harps, Tibetan prayer bowls, crystal bowls, frame drums, fujara, bells, gongs, and chimes, amongst others.
Jonny will also be joining the music line-up, demonstrating his eclectic talent.
A lifetime fascination with rare and unusual sounds has also led Jonny to seek many vocal techniques and instruments that can be used to soothe body, mind, and soul. Scientific studies have confirmed the many benefits of music and sound, particularly their ability to combat stress and allow the body to self-regulate and heal itself.

BIG G Beatbox workshop

Grant Reeves plays a variety of instruments and objects.  Following a 15 min performance, Grant will share a secret or two and offer potential beatboxer the opportunity to 'have a go',
 
Open Acoustic Sessions
 
Throughout the day, The ChillOut Tent in the Marquee Field, will host open walk-in acoustic sessions for anyone with a song to sing or a tune to strum or fiddle! Laid back and relaxed, this is the ideal opportunity to contribute to, or relax and enjoy, some informal entertainment
