Camping & Accomodation

Camping

Following numerous enquiries re.the availibility of camping over the years, the two day celebrtaion planned for the Togfest tenth anniversary makes it now possible to invite all those who wish to become our  "Togfest Camping Pioneers".  Limited camping will be available adjacent to the festival site. Pitches will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. So, please book your camping as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

During non-festival hours, The ChillOut Marquee (new this year!) will be available to our campers. For the latebirds: sit, chill and chat, storytell or bring acoustic instruments. Earlybirds have a place to meet up with your camping buds.

It is planned that a food concession will be sited adjacent to The ChillOut Marquee and able to offer late night snacks and early morning teas, bacon rolls etc.

Information to date:

  • Campsite opening: Friday 27th June - Midday
  • Campsite closes: Sunday 29th June - 2pm
  • The cost is just £6 per person

Site information

The campsite will be on the Meadow Field adjacent to, and with direct access into the festival site.

Bradwell Abbey is an ancient monument and the site of a tweflth century medieval priory. The campsite is on un-excavated land  and is subject to certain restrictions. Please care for it as much as we do.

  • Tent pegs should not be driven more than 6 inches into the ground.
  • Digging up the turf is prohibited
  • Open fires are prohibited.

Pitch sizes

Standard pitch sizes are restricted to 3M x 3M. If your tent is larger, please contact us so that we can make appropriate arrangements. There may be an extra charge for larger pitches. Where possible your vehicle will be adjacent to your pitch.

Toilets

There are 'Portaloo' type toilets available in the camping field including a disabled toilet. These toilets will be open all the time that the campsite is open except when they are being cleaned.  There are also 'inside' toilets and an additional disabled toilet available on the festival site during "opening hours".

Showers

We regret that there are no shower facilities available for Togfest 2008. (Having looked into the cost of providing showers, and the ££implications for your campiing tickets we reckoned you would all prefer a bucket and sponge!).

Water

Cold running drinking quality water will be available from a 'stand' pipe situated in the camping field.

Food and drink

There will be food and drinks (hot and cold soft drinks) available from a catering van situated in the campsite. The opening hours will be publicised at the festival.

There is NO licensed bar in the camping field. There will be numerous other food vendors and two bars available on the festival site during 'opening hours'.

Togfest does not restrict it's visitors from bringing their own refreshments but hopes the range of reasonably priced food and drink on offer will encourage our visitors to support our vendors where possible.

Security

We will make every effort to ensure that the camping field remains secure. This includes fully fencing the perimeter with high fencing, ensuring entry to the camping field by wristband only and regular security patrols in the field (24 hrs). It is however important to point out that whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the site is safe and secure, we cannot take liability for any stolen or damaged goods.

Campsite Areas

We are aware that some campers would like to sleep soon after the music has finished and others would like to stay up for longer. To this end some of the campsite will be allocated a 'quiet' zone.  We would ask that when you book your camping you let us know if you would like to be pitched in the quiet zone where we ask that all noise is kept to a minimum at night.  We ask all our campers wherever pitched to be considerate and aware of your fellow festival goers. Book your preference early because space limited. Latebirds:check out the ChillOut Marquee.
